When you’re trying to lose weight, coffee can be a great friend or foe.  If you drink it black, call it friend.  If you drink it with flavored creamer topped with whipped cream, call it foe.

As for me, I can’t drink it black, but I have found a zero calorie sweetener I like.  It’s stevia which is a plant with sweet leaves.  I bought mine in liquid form from my local Sprouts supermarket.

The good news is that it’s sugarless with no calories.  It doesn’t effect your blood sugar and is 100% natural.  I put a few drops in my coffee.  I like the taste.

So if you’re looking for a new way to sweeten your java without the calories, I think stevia is a great option.
