Here’s Lucy at a recent BBQ.  She found a watering can and it became a quick favorite.

Who needs toys when you have a watering can?

Last night, I had trouble sleeping.  I wasn’t particularly stressed or upset, but as I laid on my bed, my mind was spinning.

I forgot to call that lady back.

What day should I take the kids to Legoland?

I have a lot of work to do on my website.

I wonder what night my book party should be.

I know you’ve been there.  Swirling thoughts.  Stress that you didn’t even know you had suddenly weighs down on you.

I did what I told my friend to do that exact same day.

I thought about Philippians 4:6-7:

Do not be anxious about anything.  But in everything, through prayer and petition, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God which passes all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Earlier in the day, I gave this verse to my friend who was asking about what to do with worry.  Just hours later, I needed this verse myself.

It brought me comfort and calmed my mind while I just laid there in bed.  Before long, I was asleep.

Back to Lucy’s watering can.  Whenever we need to be filled up again, we can turn to the Bible.  In it, is everything we need for life.

Let the Bible be a favorite go-to item in your life.  Just like how Lucy loved playing with that watering can!
