Well, since it’s candy week, I figured a post about Snickers & Big Hunk would be in order.
Not so much because they are delicious, but because of what they can teach us as wives.
When you married your husband, wasn’t he the “Big Hunk” in your life? I attended a beautiful wedding this weekend. Believe me, that bride looked at her groom like he was the greatest man to walk on the planet. And that makes sense, because to her, he is.
Remember, you used to get all flustered in a good way when your beloved entered the room. Maybe it was butterflies or you felt giddy. That sweet man was scrumptious!
But what happens after a few years go by? Sometimes nothing and that’s the problem! We stop adoring our “Big Hunks” and we choose to “snicker” instead.
Don’t make the switch from “Big Hunk” (you gorgeous man) to “Snickers” (wait until I tell my girlfriends about the dumb thing he just said). Be completely in love with the hunk you got. Take a moment to think of what you appreciate about him. Imagine what he would be like if those things weren’t true.
Isn’t it nice to have a man just like the one you’ve got?
“Snickers” about your husband poison a relationship. But praising your “Big Hunk” yields sweet results. Make the decision today to be like the wife in Proverbs 31:12…”I bring my husband good, not harm, all the days of my life.”
