After her son was born, she was disappointed at her 6 week checkup.  She had only lost 10 pounds since giving birthday.  Something had to be done.  And she knew she couldn’t do it alone.

She began attending a weight loss group that taught her how to eat when hungry, stop when satisfied, and how to curb emotional eating.  She began exercising faithfully 4-5 days a week.  And guess what, within one year, she lost 50 pounds!

How did her successful journey begin?

By reaching out for help and making herself accountable to others.  My James always says that it takes money and people to make changes.  For instance, if you have paid for an exercise class, you show up.  But if it’s free, you stay in bed.

If you have to meet someone for a walk, you drag yourself out of bed.  But if you’re going alone, you hit the snooze button.

I think that is so true.  It’s why I’ve exercised with my mom once a week for more than 10 years now.  It’s why I do martial arts with my family.  Because those are appointments I have to keep.  Because otherwise, I would definitely not get the exercise I need.

What do you need to do to partner with someone to succeed?

Is there a class you need to sign up for?

Don’t give up…instead picture what could be in 2015.  Wouldn’t it be wonderful to enter your senior years with health and vitality?  In fact, wouldn’t you like more energy right now?

Get your calendar out and figure out how you’re going to fit in exercise into your normal routine.  I promise your mood will improve.  You’ll enjoy better health and be a happier wife and mom as a result.

Don’t give up…press play and keep showing up!
