Do you have memories attached to certain songs?

Whenever I hear David Crowder Band’s album “Can You Hear Us?”, I am instantly transported to 2002 and painting kitchen cabinets.

James and I were fairly newlywed, in our first home, and I was painting the inside of all the kitchen cabinets.  “Can You Hear Us?” was blaring in the background.

It’s a good memory.

Crowder went solo a few years ago.  His new album is American Prodigal and it’s excellent.

In his interview with CCM Magazine, Crowder said, “For American Prodigal, I wanted to turn the dial just a bit. Hand and foot music, foot-stomping and hand-clapping, chant-type melodies and lyrics. Spirituals.”

Leave a comment to enter to win the CD of American Prodigal (thank you Capitol Records).  US entries only please.  A winner will be randomly chosen on Monday night.  Just comment “I’m in!” or “I want to win!” or “I love Crowder!”

If you’ve commented before, you’ll notice I’m using Facebook comments now.  I was having pesky bugs with the commenting system.   If you’re not on FB but still want to enter, please do!  Just email me to enter this CD giveaway at [email protected] and you’ll be put into the random drawing.  Thank you!
