How can you stay encouraged if you are chronically ill?

What can you say or do for a friend who is sick?

My friend Sarah Forgrave is here to talk about her book, Prayers for Hope and Healing: Seeking God’s Strength as You Face Health Challenges.  Sarah became terribly ill after her first baby was born.  She understands what it’s like to endure physical and emotional pain.

This Christmas season, you may be going through a hard time, or maybe you have a friend who is.  This podcast will offer comfort to those in need, and helpful pointers for those who want to help out a friend.

By the way…you’ll hear I have some new fill-in hosts for the podcast.  My daughters Noelle and Lucy gave a helping hand as I’m still recovering from voice problems.  Which is a perfect segue back to our topic of ministering to those who are sick…

Many times, we want to bring a meal to a loved one, but we’re not sure how to make it healthy (and not too difficult!).  During the podcast, Sarah mentioned a terrific resource on her website.  Here it is: Healthy Meal Delivery Ideas for a Friend.

Remember you are never alone.  Matthew 1:23 reminds us of this miracle,

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
