Do your kids wear earbuds sometimes? Wearing earbuds can be a physical symbol that communicates, “I’m busy. Please don’t talk to me.”

Yes, there are good uses for earbuds, but wearing them can become a bad habit for kids (and adults!). Instead of talking to family members and extending common courtesy to others, you can hide and use the earbuds as a social crutch. Here’s our weekly FB live chat about this topic.
