WHAT FAMILY RESOURCE IS FREE THIS MONTH? FIND OUT HERE

Are you feeling refreshed?

You’re probably not recharging by staring at screens, attending virtual meetings, and scrolling through social.

Sometimes your screens have to power off in order for you to power up!

On this week’s Happy Home video chat, I talk about 3 basic things you (and your kids) can do every day to get and stay recharged. They are based on the ABCD study by NIH of more than 10,000 kids over the next 10 years.

Three things kids need daily:

60 minutes of physical activity
No more than 2 hours of recreational screen time
9-11 hours of sleep

For adults…I say (this is just my opinion) that 30 minutes of daily physical activity and 7-9 hours of sleep do the trick (and the same 2 hours of screen time for fun).

Other ideas to recharge each week include:
No emails over the weekend
Digital sabbath
Figuring out what recharges you:

Coffee date
People time
Alone time
Reading
Shopping
Time with God to journal and pray
Music
Ultimate frisbee (my hubby’s)

How do you recharge?
