Is video gaming helping or hurting your child?  You can listen to Part 1 of this conversation on the last Happy Home podcast to find out.

Today we’re going to find out how Dr. Andrew Doan, a former game addict, handles game play with his children.  You’ll find out about signs of addiction, the persuasive tactics used by video game developers, and why kids today need electronics.

From eyesight issues to virtual autism to frontal lobe problems, you are going to get a backstage pass with a medical specialist to guide you through these important topics.  I promise, you will be able to understand!

Dr. Andrew Doan is an eye physician and surgeon, neuroscientist, speaker, and author of Hooked on Games. He completed his medical degree and doctoral degree in neuroscience from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He has an in-depth knowledge of internet addiction – both from his extensive studies and his personal experience of being addicted to games as an adult (playing 80-100 hours a week!).

Julie Doan is a registered nurse with an interest in child development, neuroscience, and digital media addictions. Together Julie and Andy founded Real Battle Ministries and give talks around the world about the problems associated with digital media overuse.
