Now that I have your attention…allow me to introduce you to the newest member of the family. This is Bertha from Ecuador and she is my new beautiful World Vision child! She is similar in age to my daughter Lucy.
Sitting in the arena at Women of Faith in Anaheim, I knew the Lord was asking me to adopt a child. Such a small sacrifice ($35 a month) to help one child have a better life. I can’t imagine my children having to walk for hours just for water that’s not even safe to drink. Reading World Vision President’s Rich Stearns book A Hole in Our Gospel has really challenged me to remember to the poor and consider my role to help. I think it’s a must read for every Christian.
Praise God for World Vision so that we here in America can reach so far into the world to share life with those who so desparately need it!
Praise God for Women of Faith who wholeheartedly endorses the mission of World Vision in aiding children around the world!
