Crafty, I am not.
But we all know that kids love making crafts, so I have googled Thanksgiving crafts for kids and come up with what I will do on Thanksgiving Day.
Ta-da! A garland of leaves! All you need is construction paper, black marker, yarn and clothespins. Perfect!
Cut out simple leaf shapes from the construction paper. Then have your kids and Thanksgiving guests write something they are thankful for on the leaves. Attach the leaves to the yarn with the clothespins (or you can use paper clips).
I love that this is easy and that it is around what the holiday is all about. Thanksgiving! We have much to be thankful for.
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His lovingkindness is everlasting. I Chronicles 16:34
I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. Psalm 9:1
It is the living who give thanks to You, as I do today; A father tells his sons about Your faithfulness. Isaiah 38:19
If you have kids, this is a great week to tell your children stories about times in your life when God has been faithful. When He’s answered your prayers. When He’s surprised you with goodness. When He’s comforted you in time of need.
And actually, you don’t need kids to make this Thanksgiving garland or share your stories. I think adults would like it too!
