School has started for our family and the stress of homework, afterschool activities, church, and piano practice is kicking in.
I was stressed about getting out the door after dinner. I muttered to the sink of dishes, “I’m stressed!”
Guess what Noelle, my fourth grader, said?
Mommy, why don’t you just practice what you write about in your book?
Oh baby! I had the AHA moment that I could either do those same dishes with a stressed out demeanor. Or I could take a deep breath, exhale…and smile. We can switch our attitudes and then our to-do’s become a whole lot more pleasant.
