Summer is a wonderful time to experience a change from your normal pace – even if it just means a weekend vacation away from work.
What’s in your bag to read this summer? Here’s a great summer reading list from iBelieve.com. They included my book 31 Days to Becoming a Happy Mom which is an easy and helpful summer read for any mom with kids at home.
What looks good to you?
(Hmm…that might be a bit of pressure since my book is on the list)
In addition to 31 Days to Becoming a Happy Mom, what looks good to you?
Happy reading this summer. Don’t let the summer go by without a good book. If you have children, one of the best things you can do to encourage them to read is to read yourself.
They will be attracted to what you are modeling. If you are on your phone all summer, guess what? They will want to be on a phone, iPad, computer all summer long too.
Give them the gift of reading. It’s so peaceful in the house when my kids are all reading. At the same time. To classical music.
Does this sound out of reach for your kids?
Begin with yourself. Show your children what it looks like to curl up with a good book. Chances are, they’ll follow.
