I love talking with parents of young kids because if you set healthy boundaries early on with technology, you can get some pretty amazing results.
But what if your child is already a college student?
There’s not much chance you’ll be collecting his or her phone at night, or setting up what apps they can and cannot download.
Yet there are some savvy college students out there who definitely embrace technology, but who don’t want to be staring at a phone all day long.
I met them at my alma mater Biola University. Twenty-five years ago I was the student chaplain at Biola so it was really neat for me to return to a Biola chapel as a guest to talk about my book Calm, Cool, and Connected: 5 Digital Habits for a More Balanced Life. Wow God!
Here is the chapel for you to watch (or if you prefer to listen to the Biola Hour on iTunes, it is Episode 21). Perhaps it would be something your teenager or college student would enjoy. Calm, Cool, and Connected is also a great read for college students.
