Please don’t misunderstand me.

This is not a post condemning earrings for little ones! 🙂

This is just my WHY behind our WAIT.

We decided we would wait until our girls were in 6th grade before giving them the option to get their ears pierced. I spill the beans why in this video, but for the quick version:

We wanted our kids to have milestones to look forward to.

We want to delay perks so they will appreciate them more.

We want to our girls not to look older than they really are (keep ’em kids!)

Why I waited to get Lucy's ears pierced

Why it's good to delay perks for kids (gives them something to look forward to) but why responsibility can be taught early. Mentioned the books Parents Rising and The Power of Modesty for Tweens by my friend Dannah Gresh True Girl
